About BluDog Roofing
Get to know Kimberley Sammon, the veteran and roofing professional behind BluDog, and the story that inspired our name.
The person behind BluDog
After 17½ years working in roofing, Kimberley Sammon decided to start a company of her own. She wanted homeowners to know who was responsible for their project and feel comfortable asking questions along the way.
Today, Kim is personally on-site during roof installations. BluDog is a woman- and veteran-owned company serving the Wilmington, Delaware area.
Proud to be veteran-owned
As a veteran and longtime roofing professional, Kim knows the value of showing up, communicating clearly and following through on the details.
Why we’re called BluDog
BluDog Roofing is named in loving memory of Nann and Haus, Kim’s two littermate Australian Cattle Dogs, also known as Blue Heelers.
Kim brought them home when they were just nine weeks old and shared 14 and 15 years with them. When their time came, she faced the heartbreaking decision to say goodbye to each dog—only ten months apart.
Losing Nann and Haus was a turning point in Kim’s life. Their memory lives on in the name BluDog Roofing.
Our customers
We appreciate the homeowners who have shared these moments with their BluDog signs.
